Found Pictures is an independent production company based in New York with a focus on documentary, music video, live performance and industrials. Taking a naturalistic approach, FPs produces a focused range of content in both the independent and commercial worlds. Some of their commercial projects include short documentaries and videos for publishing giant Hachette Filipacchi Media, Big Chair Creative Group, Nettwerk / The Weinstein Company (Dolly Parton), One Little Indian / Hybrid (Strays Don't Sleep) and Bedroom Classics (Josh Rouse).

FPs is currently in production and post on two independent features, A RUBBERBAND IS AN UNLIKELY INSTRUMENT and ALL THE WAY FROM MICHIGAN NOT MARS. RUBBERBAND was recently selected as part of the upcoming IFP Market in NY, September 2007.

matt boyd

Matt Boyd was born in Virginia and grew up in Germany and Tennessee. Based in NY, Boyd has worked extensively in the independent music scene along with personal works in narrative and documentary. Boyd’s films and videos have been seen in festivals, art spaces and on television across the globe. His directorial commissions have included films for artists such as Lambchop, Josh Rouse, Dolly Parton, Rosie Thomas, Strays Don’t Sleep and Venus Hum. A recent collaboration with filmmaker Jem Cohen on the film BUILDING A BROKEN MOUSETRAP had its world premiere at the Toronto Intl. Film Fest 2006. Boyd is currently in post-production on two feature-length documentaries, A RUBBERBAND IS AN UNLIKELY INSTRUMENT and ALL THE WAY FROM MICHIGAN NOT MARS.

As a cinematographer, editor and collaborative filmmaker, Boyd’s work encompasses a broad spectrum extending from indie rock, to social and character-driven documentary and the commercial worlds. His contributions include a wide range of projects with filmmakers Jem Cohen - BUILDING A BROKEN MOUSETRAP; Amir Bar-Lev- MY KID COULD PAINT THAT; Braden King - 1000 MILES: DIRTY THREE LIVE, LOOKING FOR A THRILL and REENA (Sonic Youth); Matt Kohn - CALL IT DEMOCRACY; and THE MINUTEMEN, WE JAM ECONO. Boyd’s commercial client list includes Nettwerk, Rykodisc, MTV, VH1, Sharp Entertainment, Hachette Filipacchi, Z Group Films, Big Chair Creative, Washington Square Films, Truckstop Media, The Weinstein Company, ESPN, Hybrid, BMG, MCA, One Little Indian, Ultrastar and Supreme NYC. He’s also contributed to videos, archival and documentaries for various artists such as Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Bright Eyes, John Mayer, Slick Rick, Dirty Three, Stew and Sonic Youth to name a few.
